Directions to the shed by river

Private boats,
Turn left opposite Barnes Brinkcraft as if going into the Moores basin but carry straight on past the private no entry sign that says peninsular cottages only, the mooring is on the right, right in front of the outdoor seating area, electric is available mooring fee is 10 pounds, which seems to be pretty normal for Wroxham.

Hire boats

Go past the Moores entrance and take the next left opposite the Wroxham hotel, into Faircraft Loynes, moor where ever they allow, private craft are not allowed in here.
We All came here on different ships, but we're in the same boat now!

Turn left opposite Barnes Brinkcraft

Just to stop everyone turning into our Private moorings... -um-
Turn into the Old Moores basin next to the peninsular
cottages as seen on the Barnes Webcam 'marina 4' view,
and keep to the right as you go in, as in straight on!
Posting as
Turn left opposite Barnes Brinkcraft

will lead to craft entering our marina whatever the signs say as
we've had to point out to many pilots of both hire and private
boats alike.
That 'shed' has caused a considerable nuisance for many of us
moored in and near the place where we did'nt before it was opened.
It's bad enough with cars screeching away and late night
shouting without having to deal with boats too.
Bill.

Hi Bill
The instructions do say as if turning into the Old Moores yard maybe it would benefit moor if signed better.

I suppose there is a lot about Wroham that atracts people, after all it is the heart of the broads so I suppose if you moor in the busiest part of the Broads you will get traffic and a certain amount of noise, and activity, social and anti social, at least you can untie and move elsewhere!

Hi MR Bill;

i am very sorry if we will upset you coming for a pint at the Shed,
by river
dont know the politics of the thing ,just wanted to enjoy a pint alongside the river,

we on this site dont go into upsets, and rather than upset anyone on private moorings i would rather walk to the venue, and leave the boat at the public moorings ok mate.

cheers

Hi Bill.

Thanks for you input.

I'm sure none of us want to upset anyone by entering private moorings without permission. Admin are fortunate to be moored in a place where nobody can get to us other than by boat and are lucky enough to have no other place to go upon entering the Marina, thus meaning nobody ventures in.

We have visited The Shed on a couple of occassions (by car) but as yet have not left screeching away late at night, contrary to what other may say. .Tee.

If you have complaints about traffic by river to The Shed then you are welcome to air them here but if your complaint is about the clientele of said establishment then please discuss it with them. We have found the staff very helpful and willing and I am sure they would take any concerns seriously.

Maybe we can meet up for a pint of one of their great selection of ales soon. .ph.
