The New Face of NBO

Postby TudorRose » Sun Nov 24, 2013 9:38 pm

Hank has been dibbling and dabbling and the forum is almost ready to move to a new server. .clap.

We have decided its time for away with the brown and the introduction of a whole new colour scheme, which is where you all come in. :D

We would like ideas/designs for a new NBO logo which clearly states that we are TheNorfolkBroads.org and not just NorfolkBroads.org as stated in lots of press related items.

Thinking caps and artistic heads on guys, we want something to represent the 21st Century (Norfolk will get there one day). .Tee.

Also, in your designs, remember that NBO is home to the Broads Awards and the Dwile Flonking World Championships!

Please make designs as simple but explicit as possible. Pete and myself will have final say as we will need to reproduce it on stationery, banners etc.

The Best Design may even win a Broads Award! -A-

PS. If you've found this thread, you may have noticed its nearly Christmas .Tee.
We All came here on different ships, but we're in the same boat now!

You'll have to drag it into the 20th century first. Can you believe that in this day and age there are still people who use wind power to get around the rivers? Unbelievable.

If anyone has any suggestions for a theme, I'll gladly try and come up with something based around it. My thought was a logo which could, over time become regognisable in it's own right, as the NSBA or NBF has with the option of adding text for stationary etc. I rather thought wherries, sail boats, wind pumps etc had been done to death. I did think of crossed hands symbolising friendship but they are quite difficult to simplify and still remain obvious as to what they mean.

When I designed the NBF logo it was intended to symbolise swans as they paddle to achieve flight, but I don't think this would clash. It would be good to hear of other ideas though, some kind of pictograph that best sums up the forum.

The avatar that Roya is using gives a visual display of love, friendship, companionship, it would say it all if you could capture that feeling in some way.

No! I'm not saying use their picture but maybe a matchstick version could still show the friendship that the forum offers.

Hi Sue & Hank.
Have now got the yellow material for the NBO Pennant, but do you want us to hold off until a
decision has been made about the Logo?

By the way has anyone seen Poppy about lately.
