I've gone through the last page of members and banned all the ones that looked suss. If I've missed any, let me know and i'll get rid of them.

I've also banned ymail as a given email address because it seems most of these new ones are using this.

Hank working today and then we're going out for dinner but i'll ask him to have another look tonight.

Well we moved to the new server Saturday night
Thought all the problems were ironed out but obviously not
There are currently problems with Chat (can't use the same IP address e.g. me & tudes can't be on at the same time)
seems to be a problem with PM's - need to look at that
but otherwise it seems to be a lot faster and we have the latest software so a few other bugs have been sorted!
Chat is only a minor prob so will look at the pm problem first hope to have it sorted in next few days (work permitting)

If anybody has problems logging on or any other faults found then please Email Hank@wyken.com

I'm trying to check them daily and delete the pain in the butts in the Admin panel. Got rid of another 5 just now and i've banned Yahoo email addresses as that seemed favourite today. Sh)

If anyone is already registered with a Yahoo address, don't worry you will still be able to log in. Any genuine newbies who only have a Yahoo address please email me at tudorrose@thenorfolkbroads.org and i'll sort it out for you. :D

Colin, Hank is working away in Scotland this week and with Pete in Oz too i'm home alone guarding the ship. I'll get Hank to look into why your banning permissions aren't working when he gets back. Guess the change to the new server still needs a few tweaks. ;) .Tee.

Sorry Colin, When we put the new version of the software on the new server the permissions for users were slightly different.
I have changed your permissions manually so you should now be able to ban. Let me know if it does/doesn't work

Now Yahoo mail has been banned it seems Hotmail has become the spammers favourite so i've taken the decision today to ban that as well until Hank can get to the bottom of the problem.

As with Yahoo mail if you genuinely want to join and only have a Hotmail account, contact me tudorrose@thenorfolkbroads.org and I will sort it out for you. Thanks
