Perhaps admin island could be listed as a tourist attraction for the millions of 'new' visitors we are expecting for this coming year :Oh

Well upon arrival in Horning I asked her ladyship should we go straight to the pub (the rugby is on later) then go over to the boat with all our gear after?
For some unknown reason her ladyship decided "No let's get everything over to the boat, then go watch the rugby" OK says I.
Well upon arrival at the boat as I carried bits and bobs over the lawn I was greeted by screams and tears. Her ladyship had opened the cabin door to be greeted by the aftermath of a hurricane with ripped clothing, empty destroyed food containers and VERY LARGE droppings. - RATS!
So a couple of hours later of cleaning (and occasional sobbing) we had cleared the mess, disinfected everywhere and filled several black bags with clothing and chewed plastic.
The little B*^*"*ds had chewed all my speaker cables (right back to the jack plugs) and chewed through the electric cables in the back of the fridge (explaining why the breakers wouldn't come back on)
So we missed the first half on Englands heroic performance, lost a set of expensive speakers, had no fridge and only the small amount of food we had brought with us.
Next day was spent repairing fridge and blocking the remaining hole in the back of the toilet (the access point) and my pet favourite Bl***dy shopping.

On the Bright Side,
AHEM.

At least the RATS did not desert the sinking ship.
Blimey the joys of boating.

Sadly, I fear that we will be seeing more rats on the Broads given North Norfolk District Council's unwelcome and short-sighted decision to remove 10 of their 13 waste disposal facilities and the fly tipping that is likely to follow.

Perhaps the BA will "re-brand" them as "Norfolk Hamsters".

:Ow :Ow :Ow

We had a similar thing with our boat a couple of years ago. We could see the destruction that the rodents had done, even chewing into PVC pipework. The alarming thing was that we couldn't see how they had got aboard. Steel hull and on top no holes anywhere, nothing. Came to the conclusion that they got aboard last time we used the boat and they enjoyed a cruise with us.
Next time we used the boat we left food on the floor but it wasn't touched so perhaps they had left same way that they had arrived.
Just because you are breathing does'nt mean that you are alive.
