Has this changed hands again?

We were only there last August chatting to the new landlord, who had just taken over. Having a pub these days seems to be a triumph of hope over realism.

Thanks for the update Howard, have you been down there today?

We love the White Horse but haven't stopped there as much as we should have recently. :Oh

2 questions???

1) Is it still doggy friendly?

2) Is My Old Buddy Rude Parrot still there?

Thanks for the update, love to you and Linda .k. .k. .k.
We All came here on different ships, but we're in the same boat now!

Ahhh, so the guy I spoke to in August was the person now employed by the village owners to run the place. He mentioned Winkle and said that the pub had been in a pretty bad state when he took over, but that the villagers had pitched in and helped clean up and tidy up the pub and its garden.

I remember the parrot from previous visits, but there was was no sign of it last August, so I surmise that it must have fallen off its perch.

The beer drinking demographic down here in Kent is similar to that on the Broads in winter (i.e. almost nil). A couple of pubs near us have been bought by their villages and they have gone from strength to strength, most notably the Farrier's Arms at Mersham.

I sincerely hope that the White Horse thrives. It is a nice pub in a lovely village, which we love to visit.

There is plenty of Stella-like stuff in the toilets Roy and if you are quick it will still be warm.
